User Scenarios

1. Emilia, Age: 30
Emilia is a single mother who works very hard, however she has lately noticed that using her iPad to keep her child entertained has make her daughter irritable and has noticed her lashing out more often. She said her daughter didn’t go outside anymore however, she doesn’t have the time to take her to the park and hang out with her outdoors. Sick of all the lashing out she tried to take away her iPad to make her be more active and improve her attitude, but instead of improving her attitude she was even more moody. That is until she found Story Bites. The interactive reading app that allowed her daughter to calm down on the tantrums by not contributing to the overstimulating colors and loud noises that children’s app usually have. She also found that the app had a feature that allowed her to understand the world around her by interacting with nature and then reporting back to the app.

2. Sophia, Age: 5
Sophia is a small girl that loves colors and loves to read, however her mom doesn’t have time to take her to the library, therefore she rarely gets to read a book. Her mom has an iPad and wanted her daughter to learn something new instead of just watching YouTube, so she downloaded Story Bites. Sophia was very excited she was able to hear the words out loud as well as the music playing in the background which made her want to learn to play piano. She was very entertained as well as learning how to spell and comprehend stories. Additionally, she loved the extra activities the app had, like learning how to grow a plant, and how to make a rainbow. It has made her more active and has awaken her curiosity.

3. Julio, Age: 30
Julio is a man who loves to travel, however, something that seems to bother him every time he’s in a plane is the kids that are yelling and running around the isle, kicking his seat and throwing tantrums every 5 minutes. He understands parents have it rough on trips but he finds himself feeling restless after a long airplane ride. He was surprised though when he had to ride next to a dad and his daughter on a 8hr plane ride, and he was actually able to sleep and rest. He found it odd and saw that the little girl was concentrated on her iPad reading and asking her dad questions. He asked how she was able to stay calm during the ride, and he said Story Bites was the solution to this problem. Julio was amazed and now every time he goes out on a trip instead of getting annoyed at the parents, he recommends Story Bites.
