Rising Stars is the annual signature showcase of the New World School of the Arts (NWSA). The event features professionally staged performances in dance, music, and theater, along with a visual arts exhibition, highlighting the talent of students from both the high school and college programs.

Each year, senior graphic design students are honored to participate in a competition to create the winning visual identity for the event, including the program, poster, and social media advertising. The event also features the Rising Stars Alumni Award, which recognizes an NWSA graduate for outstanding artistic contributions. Our 2026 event winner is Nicole Samper, congrats, Nicole ⭐

The performances present a wide range of artistic expression across the performing arts. Audiences experience dynamic works in dance, music, and theater created and performed by NWSA students.
The event also includes a visual arts exhibition featuring works in art, technology, video, and sculpture. These pieces showcase the creativity and experimentation of students in the visual arts program.

Rising Stars is typically presented at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, with the visual arts exhibition held at the New World Gallery.
