Senior Design Studio

Fall 2025

This rigorous, practice-based course serves as the culminating step in preparation for the BFA exhibition. Students present their work, engage in critical discourse, and refine their projects through sustained critique. The course also emphasizes professional development, offering structured opportunities to collaborate with local business owners through partnerships facilitated by the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce.

 





 

Technologies and Processes

Fall 2025

This hands-on course introduces students to the fundamentals of packaging design, from concept development to final presentation. Through a series of projects, workshops, and critiques, students explore material selection, structural design, and visual systems while learning to communicate creative ideas effectively across both two- and three-dimensional forms, as well as prepare professional prepress files.

 





 

Typography 2

Fall 2025

The course focuses on using typography to communicate ideas and solve design challenges through projects like posters, artist books, and custom fonts. Students build skills in typesetting, visual expression, and letterform design through hands-on work and critiques.

 





 

Communication Design 2

Fall 2025

In this course the students are learning how to design, analyze, and evaluate cohesive brand identity systems by translating graphic design fundamentals—such as typography, color, layout, and symbolism—into strategic, ethical, and culturally responsive branding solutions aligned with real-world goals. Communication Design 2: Poster Competition

Fall 2025 and Spring 2026

My students from Communication Design 2 class were participating in Miami Book Fair Poster competition. The winning student's design will receive the exptended publicity in community publications, posters, social media posts and informative wall art as well as the award. Currently, these posters are under concideration by the Miami Book Fair committee, stay tuned for the winner!

As a prominent form of graphic design, the poster embodies the very essence of the cultural aspect of the profession, showcasing creative concepts and modern trends. Since its inception, the poster has always served as a meeting place for art and design, emotion and rationality. Today, the poster is serving as a generator of professional innovation, a space for esperimentation, and art development.

Interactive Design Lab 1

Spring 2025

This course introduces students to the essentials of UX/UI design through hands-on projects, emerging technologies, and interactive strategies. They learn to design responsive, user-friendly apps and websites while exploring the coding and research behind effective digital experiences. Currently, the course emphasizes app prototyping using Figma, one of the most advanced and widely adopted tools in the industry. Students learn to develop user flows, work with wireframes, as well as create interfaces, illustrations, animations, and more. I'll be adding more UX/UI projects to this section in the nearest future, please stay tuned!

 




 

Senior Seminar for B.A.

Spring 2025 and Fall 2024

The primary aim of this research-intensive (RI) course is to explore and contextualize the original creative research that drives art and design production. It encourages students to identify a public exhibition space to display their unique artwork and design projects.

Visual Design Lab 1

Spring 2024

An immersive course that engages students in the essential principles and techniques of graphic design. Students get familiar with graphic design terminology, basics of layout and composition, learn Geshtalt principles and color theory.

 




 

Interactive Design Lab 2

Fall 2022, Spring 2023, Fall 2023

This course covers key design aspects of online content development, exploring technologies, issues, and opportunities in interactive media. Students learn to write HTML and CSS to create functional websites.
